For its 2024-2025 season, the festival will be expanded beyond its Mumbai roots, debuting in Bangalore and Shillong. Spoken Fest will be organized on:
- November 20, 2024: Shillong
- February 22, 2025: Bangalore
- February 1 & 2, 2025: Mumbai
The Shillong edition will exude the vibrant arts scene of the city, collaborating with Meghalaya Tourism to highlight local traditions and talent. Mr. Cyril Diengdoh, Director of Tourism in Shillong said that hosting this kind of festival is a landmark moment for Meghalaya as it promotes the rich storytelling culture of the state.
Bangalore & Mumbai: One Creative Pulse, Two Cities
In Bangalore, Spoken Fest will have a unique mix of genres, reflecting the spirit of innovation. The Mumbai edition will embrace new voices while celebrating the festival's roots, offering a unique blend of entertaining performances that resonate with the essence of the city.
Past editions have left a deep impression on Mumbaikars, featuring spectacular performances by Rekha Bhardwaj, Zakir Khan, Vishal, and others. Rachna Panikker, COO of Kommune, highlighted that the festival has provided an opportunity for transformative storytelling and shared experiences.
