Over the past year few years, we have seen an expansion in the Stand-up Comedy arena. The comedians have gained popularity mainly due to their live performances. Their ability to interact directly with the audience along with a steady stream of laughter has boosted their popularity not only in India but also abroad.We have shortlisted four favorite stand-up comedians from Delhi to look out for.

Appurv Gupta did his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering and in spite of getting job offers from some top MNCs, he took to stand-up comedy. He has delivered around 1000 stage performances and has opened many clubs in different locations and corporate companies.

Amit Tandon is a leading comedian and is also known as “The married guy“. His videos  in social media have over 50 million views. He has formed a company called Grandmasters of Comedy, which focuses on the entry of comedy shows into the corporate world. He has performed in over 1200 comedy shows in all the major cities in India and across the globe.

Amit Sharma is one of the most loved and fastest-growing standup comedians in Delhi’s comic fraternity. He started three years back, when he walked out of a mundane job to do something different. From being in the Top 10 of the ‘Radio Mirchi Comedy ka Ghanta’ to his numerous performances at various theatres, clubs and comedy clubs, Amit has grown by leaps and bounds. Kishore Dayani has entered the top 10 in the final round of the Comedy ka King contest by Radio Mirchi from among 600 contestants, without any prior experience in performing stand-upcomedy. His uniqueness is “anti-rational” humour that takes a dig at the socio-political scene in India.
